DYCL Coaching guidelines and Parent Consent

REGISTRATION

1. Payment in full is due by PAYPAL forregistration

2. If you want to register for more than onesession per week, please contact DYCL Management
3. There are no makeup classes, but with priorpermission of DYCL management, player may be allowed to attend other sessionsin the week.

 

RISK WARNING

You should be aware that thereare risks of injury associated with playing cricket, as there are with mostsports. Risk will arise in the context of the activities of batting, bowlingand fielding. While the Club aims to minimize risks, it is not possible toeliminate them all. On some occasions, an injury can be serious(such as tornligaments, dislocations, back injuries, concussion or broken bones). In veryrare cases the injury can be life threatening or result in permanentdisability. If a participant has a pre-existing injury, participating in asporting activity could result in an exacerbation of that injury. It is alsostrongly recommended by the Club that personal insurance be taken out byparticipants. On registering the participant also gives permission for DYCL toarrange any medical attention that may be required, including ambulancetransport and agree to pay all medical costs incurred by him/her.

On registering you as theplayer or the players parent/guardian acknowledge and understand the risk warningand exclusion of liability on this Disclaimer and give permission for theparticipant registering to participate in the aboveactivity/training/game/event.

INDEMNITY

On registering, you as theplayer or the players parent/guardian hereby agree that the Dallas YouthCricket League (“DYCL”), its officers, officials and/or members  shall notbe liable, whether in contract, tort or statute for any injury, illness, lossor damage or other mishap to you/your child or your/your child’s property arisingout of, or in any way directly or indirectly connected with your/your child’sparticipation in any event, match, competition, practice or training  andwill at all times indemnify and keep fully indemnified “DYCL” from and againstall actions, suits, causes of action, proceedings, claims, demands, costs andexpenses whatsoever which may be taken or made against DYCL  arising out of any such injury, illness, loss,damage or other such mishap to you/your child or your/your child’s property.

HELMETS AND SAFETY

The wearing of a helmet andappropriate safety equipment is compulsory for all junior players whilebatting, fielding within close proximity of the batter(when applicable), andwhen wicket-keeping up to the stumps. DYCL also recommends all senior players towear helmets and appropriate safety equipment while batting, fielding withinclose proximity of the batter, and while wicket-keeping up to the stumps..

In addition, DYCL expects allplayers to take responsibility for their own safety by observing instructions,rules and guidelines, by wearing compulsory safety equipment when applicableand by behaving in a safe and responsible manner towards other participants,officials, property and grounds.

PRIVACY

Unless otherwise notified onregistration, you as the player or the players parent/guardian agree toyour/your child’s name/photo being published in Dallas Youth Cricket League(“DYCL”) newsletters, the club website, club social media and local newspapersfor the sole purposes of acknowledgement and commendation only. Informationsupplied on the registration form will be used for the DYCL purposes only. Theinformation provided will not be used for marketing purposes or passed to anythird parties without your consent.

PARENT / GUARDIAN / PLAYER CONSENT AGREEMENT

By registering your child youhereby acknowledge and agree to all matters referred to in this statement,including the risk warning, privacy and indemnity.
